Donald Lowther, age 91, of Brookfield, died Wednesday, January 7, 2015, at Cameron Regional Hospital in Cameron.
A funeral Service will be Tuesday, January 13, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at Wright-Baker-Hill Funeral Home in Brookfield. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Brookfield. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.

Donald Elbert, son of Elbert and Ethel (Neal) Lowther, was born December 28, 1923, in St. Catherine. On August 14, 1949, he married Betty Marsh who preceded him in death December 21, 1966. On February 14, 1970, he married Ada Lucille Dick Bohnsack who preceded him in death February 13, 2011.
Donald was a retired Letter Carrier for the United States Postal Service and a member of the National Association of Letter Carriers. He was a member of the Park Baptist Church in Brookfield where he had served as a Deacon. He was a US Army Veteran of World War II and a 1941 graduate of Shelby High School.
Survivors include one daughter, Marsha Bradley and husband, Melvin of Bucklin; two grandsons, Dennis Bradley of Marceline and Christopher Bradley and wife, Amy of Raytown; two great grandchildren; five step children, Donald Bohnsack and wife, Linda of Leavenworth, Kansas, Charles Bohnsack and wife, Gloria of San Bernadino, California, Barbara Pointon and husband, Joe of Brookfield, Richard Bohnsack of Keytesville and Alvin Bohnsack and wife, Teri of Mizzoula, Montana; one brother, J.D. Lowther and wife, Eudora of Brookfield; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
His parents; and five sisters, Bernice Kennedy, Margaret O’Connor, Hester Rauer, Catherine Marriott, and Helen Lowther also preceded him in death.
