Iola Mae Nanneman, age 86 of Macon, formerly of New Cambria, died Monday, January 19, 2015 at Boone Hospital Center in Columbia. Iola was born at Hunt City, Illinois on September 28, 1928 to Vonnie and Inez M. (Alexander) Ragon. She married Hilbert Nanneman on May 9, 1953 in Peoria, IL. Iola had worked at a hotel in Peoria for ten years and at Pershing Hospital and St. Francis long term care. She was an avid quilter and also embroidered baby quilts and was a member of the St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church in Wien. She is survived by her husband Hilbert of the home in Macon; son Frank Nanneman and Diane, Bevier; brother Bob Ragon, West Plains; daughter-in-law Wanda Nanneman,six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, son Charles W. Nanneman on January 8, 2006; three sisters and three brothers. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, January 23, 2015 at the St. Mary of the Angels Catholic Church in Wien. Visitation will be held from 5-7 PM Thursday, January 22 at the church in Wien with Vigil service at 6:30.
