Nadine Dixon, 88 years old, of Browning, Missouri, passed away Thursday, December 31, 2015 at Pershing Health System in Brookfield, Missouri.
Nadine was born on April 28, 1927 in Browning, to William and Gladys (Stultz) Sparks. On November 29, 1945 she married Ronald Charles “Oily” Dixon in Kansas City, Kansas, he preceded her in death on November 19, 2004. Survivors include: one daughter, Joetta and husband Mike Stubbs of Columbia, Missouri; one son, Ronnie and wife Waverly Dixon of Brookfield; five grandchildren, Kelli Stubbs and fiancĂ© Scott Christy, Jeffrey and wife Heather Stubbs, Bradley Stubbs, Chretien and husband Jared Gilman, and Joel and wife Sarah Dixon; 7 great granddaughters, Jayme, Haleigh, Khaylee, Kamdyn, Ainsley, Avery, and Keira; 2 great grandsons, Samuel and Kai; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by: Her parents; her husband; and one brother, Norris Sparks.
Nadine lived most of her life in Browning, but during the war she lived in Kansas City and worked in a factory for the war effort. She has also worked at Stanbury Uniform for several years, but most of her life was spent as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. Nadine was a member of the United Methodist Church in Browning, and a 50+ year member of the American Legion Auxiliary Post #274. She enjoyed cooking and loved going to all the sporting events for her children and grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM, Tuesday, January 5, 2016, at United Methodist Church in Browning. Burial will follow at Park Lawn Cemetery in Brookfield. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service, starting at 1:00 PM at the church.
